Brokerage companies HTI Valori Imobiliare, Swiss Capital and SSIF Broker
renounced the proposal of the general shareholders assembly of the Sibiu
Commodities and Financial-Monetary Exchange (BMFMS). Petru Prunea, the
president of SSIF Broker, said the three companies sent to the Sibiu
Exchange a request to revoke the decision of the general shareholders
assembly. The Sibiu Exchange presently works only with derivative
instruments such as futures contracts and options on shares and foreign
currencies. At the beginning of May, the shareholders of BMFMS approved a
general agreement for a merger with the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
