The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) hails the ratification of
Romania's and Bulgaria's Accession Treaty to the EU by the Irish
Senate.
The event marks the end of the parliamentary procedures of ratification of
the two countries' Accession Treaty to the EU, with the Irish Chamber of
Deputies having ratified the document on June 13, an MAE release says. MAE
warmly thanked the Irish authorities for their active support given to
Romania with a view to successfully conluding the process of accession to
the Union in keeping with the schedule. Ireland's integration with the EU is
an example, with this country's consistent support given to Romanian in its
European route consolidating the prerequisites for an excellent cooperation
between the two countries within the Union after Romania's accession on
January 1, 2007, reads the MAE release.
