A consortium made up of Romanian software developer Siveco and Polish
systems integrator ABG Ster-Projekt has won a contract worth 4.7 million
euros following a tender organised by the Agency for Payment and
Intervention for Agriculture (APIA), according to APIA officials. The
consortium has the obligation to develop a software system for the
administration of money and payments made within the field of agriculture,
which is known as the IACS (Integrated Administration and Control System),
over one year. "APIA's IT system is meant for that part of the European
Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF), which is a component of
the general budget of the European Community, and which is managed by APIA
in Romania," Theodor Stanescu, project manager at Siveco told ZIARUL
FINANCIAR.
Other companies that took part in the tender were Romsys, S&T, Ibykus
German, HP (the Romanian, Hungarian and Bulgarian branches), Siemens Austria
and two consortiums made up of Intracom, Intrarom, Geoset, as well as
Sysware and Altec. Siveco officials did not wish to specify how much money
went to each of the two companies in the consortium.
