Lafarge Agregate Betoane shareholders will receive dividends for the first
time since the creation of the company, which was created in 1998. This
first payment of dividends totals 1.7 million euros. The profits registered
in 2003 and 2004 were used to cover losses reported in 2002.
The main shareholder of the company is the cement producer Lafarge Ciment,
with an 84.6 percent stake. The France-based group Lafarge controls Lafarge
Ciment. Financial Investment Company Muntenia holds a 10.3 percent stale in
Lafarge Agregate Betoane.
