The foreign capital will control over 80 percent of Romanian IT companies in
four years, according to estimations by Pierre Audoin Consultations (PAC)
consultancy company.
Between 5 and 10 companies with over 500 employees will work in the IT
sector in 2010 in Romania, all with foreign capital, only 2 such companies
currently operating on the market, PAC executive manager Eugen Schwab
Chesaru told a news conference on Wednesday. Some 500 IT companies with less
than 10 employees will disappear over the next four years, while the number
of companies with 100 employees will double (40). But consultants believe
that Bucharest will remain the favourite location for IT investments over
the next 3-5 years. PAC believes that investments in IT centres in Bucharest
will amount to 100 million euros and will create 3,000- 5,000 jobs in the
sector.
