La Festa Romania, producer of natural juice brands Tedi and Tymbark, plans
to increase turnover by 20% this year, to some 43 million euros. "In terms
of sales growth for this year, we are relying on the Tymbark brand,
especially given that we have just launched three new types of juice to be
used with cocktails," said Krzysztof Grabowski, president of La Festa
Romania. La Festa closed last year with business worth 36.1 million euros
and a profit worth 2.8 million euros, and in the first quarter of this year,
turnover increased by 9% against a similar period of the previous year.
The company currently has a juice production plant in Valenii de Munte,
Prahova county, in which it has invested over 25 million euros in the last
three years. The plant currently has 600 employees and was inaugurated in
June 2002, in the wake of an initial investment of over 7 million euros.
Part of the production (17%) from the Valenii de Munte plant is exported,
mainly to Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Syria, the Republic
of Moldova, France and Germany among others.
